Chassis 7329
This is a 1929 FE type, originally
exported by Alvis to Australia without a body. It was then fitted with a
two-door close-coupled saloon body with an integral boot, built by Martin &
King, the Melbourne-based coachbuilders. This body was destroyed, although
the windscreen surround survived and was incorporated into a new body frame
built at Max Houston's restoration shop in the 1980's, when the car was owned by
Eric Dunbar. The new body is also a close-coupled saloon, but with a
separate rear trunk. It is now owned by Rob Gunnell, who has made progress
with skinning the frame.
